Does the kit include an original Dreamcast controller?

No. DreamColor Plus replaces the internal circuit board and uses parts from a compatible original controller. The exact contents vary depending on the version, reward, and optional items purchased.

Are there versions with one and two analog sticks?

Yes. The traditional version uses a compatible original front shell. The Dual Analog version requires a front shell prepared to accommodate the second analog stick.

Does it work with Dreamcast consoles from any region?

Yes. The controller protocol is region-independent. DreamColor Plus can be used with American, Japanese, European, and Brazilian consoles.

Does it work on PC?

Yes. In PC / XInput mode, the controller is presented to the computer as an XInput-compatible gamepad for games, emulators, and applications.

Is there a DInput mode?

There is no dedicated DInput mode in this version. For programs that require DInput, use XInput when supported or a compatible remapping tool.

Does it work with Steam?

Yes. Use PC / XInput mode and enable Steam Input when necessary. Check the buttons and axes in each game's settings.

Does it work on Android?

Yes. Select Android / BLE, open the device's Bluetooth settings, and complete the pairing process. Extra buttons, rumble, and additional axes depend on the device, Android version, and application.

Does it work with Flycast?

Yes. Use PC / XInput or Android / BLE and configure the buttons, analog sticks, and triggers in Flycast. The second analog stick and extra buttons may require manual mapping.

Does it work with RetroArch?

Yes, on PC and Android. Select the detected device, check the input driver, and remap the controls when a core uses different button names.

Can I use an original VMU, Jump Pack, or microphone?

No. The display, memory, rumble, and microphone are already integrated into DreamColor Plus, and the original expansion slots are not available.

Does the microphone already work?

The integrated microphone works on PC and as an accessibility assistant. Full support in Dreamcast games such as Seaman, Planet Ring, and Alien Front Online will be made available in a future update.

Can DreamColor Plus be updated?

Yes. Updates are installed using the microSD card and may improve compatibility and performance or add new features. Use only official files and instructions.

How can I restore an unsuitable configuration?

Open Edit / calibrate, apply the Safe preset, and recalibrate the analog sticks and triggers. Axis inversions, deadzones, C/Z settings, and remappings can be reset manually. Contact support before erasing the internal memory.

Which microSD card should I use?

Use a genuine card from a reliable brand, preferably Class 10 or U1, formatted as FAT32. Avoid counterfeit, damaged, or slow cards, and turn off the controller before inserting or removing the card.

Does the controller have input lag?

In practical tests of the dedicated wireless connection, response time was approximately 4 to 10 ms, which is less than one frame in games running at 60 FPS. Results also depend on the console, game, display, and interference in the environment.

Does it work with GDEMU?

Yes. DreamColor Plus operation on the Dreamcast is independent of the ODE installed in the console.

Does it work with DreamPi?

Yes. The controller works in online Dreamcast games regardless of the method used to connect the console to the internet.

Can I use more than one DreamColor Plus?

Yes. Up to four sets can be used on the Dreamcast, one per port. Perform the first synchronization with one set at a time.
